...but that's cause I've been at work on this post for Serious Eats! :) I'm covering one bakery a week (madelines, cakes, and anything delicious), so check in at Serious Eats on Thursdays for something sweet.
Hope everyone's having a good day...we're so close to the weekend!

sounds like a great bakery :) can't wait to hear more about your sweet adventures!
i don't mean this to be contentious, but your bio says that you're hawaiian. native? because that's what it would insinuate...
Hi Kathie,
Great article...sounds like a dangerous assignment, but right up your alley. =)
When someone asks me if I am Hawaiian, I always say, "Yes, but not by blood." Most are confused by this admission, since most people view being "Hawaiian" as "someone from Hawaii," much like someone is a Californian, Ohian, New Yorker, etc. It might not be as much the case along the West Coast, but that's what I've encountered from West through East Coast.
Is it bad if I encourage more tasty articles? =) Take care.

Oops, I meant Kathy -- my coworker's name is spelled Kathie! Sorry!
Hey Kat!
Oh man the bakery was delicious!!! :)
Hey Anon!
Try see Cassaendra's comment right below - I don't mean to imply 'Hawaiian' as native Hawaii, but more along the lines of 'New Yorker'
Hey Cassaendra!
Thanks for your comment on the Serious Eats post, I was so happy to read it! :) I meant the same thing you're thinking by 'Hawaiian' - I can see how it would be confusing, but one look at me and anyone could tell I'm ffaaaarrrr from native Hawaiian, hehe :)
maybe it would be good to say a local from hawaii instead to be sensitive to those who do claim ancestry? i understand the comparison, but hawaii does have a different history and i figure that your writing is a good forum for people to learn about that.
not to say that the article wasn't great, cuz it was!
