A late Tuesday lunch with Jess. How lucky I am to manage a few properties just a minute walk from Gotham Bar & Grill...all the more reason to enjoy lovely post-showing lunches ^_^
The $25 prix fixe lunch (three courses - menu here) is a wonderful deal, and the staff ever so sweet, even as I staggered in with a bloody foot...the price one pays for breaking in a new pair of spring stilettos.
I was rewarded with a set of three high quality band-aids delivered to our table. Talk about customer service.
Let's get onto the food, shall we? :)

Bread and Butter

Roasted Black Plum Salad: red onions radishes, smoked bacon and goat cheese, white balsamic vinagrette

Asparagus Salad: potato confit and quail eggs, dijon mustard dressing

Orrechiette with Duck Sausage: broccoli rabe, parmigiano reggiano, duck broth

Grilled New York Steak: twice baked potato, baby carrots, bordelaise sauce

Gotham Warm Chocolate Cake with Coconut-Caramel Ice Cream

each dish looks incredible, does it display a strange character flaw that the bread and butter entices me the most?
i know they have great service at gotham... but bandais? that's impressive.
Blisters are okay if the shoes are super hot, haha. There's a tricky trade-off when breaking in new shoes. New shoes are like food with copious amounts of garlic and/or onions. Eat something delicious and stink all day, or forgo the food and eat something else while wondering if you may have made the wrong choice.
ouch for the new shoes, but mmm for the delicious meal!
oooooh that looks really good.
Hey Mark!
Not at all - I could eat plates and plates of that butter! ;)
Hey Justin!
It was unexpected, and very sweet!
Hey Lucy!
I agree! And those were one pair of very hot (and very high) heel, if I do say so, heheh ^_^
Kat!
A worthwhile trade-off! :)
Hey Michi and Yen!
It was, it was!! :D
